Summer come quickly!

It's Been awhile!

Wow,
I haven't blogged since September. Where has the time gone?

The highlights in our life since September has been Christmas, then a family cruise for my parent's 75th birthdays with 35 of us! We went on a 5 day Baja cruise out of San Diego right after Christmas. Got to see all my kids, my brothers and sisters and their kids, my grandkids and spend the week with my parents and aunts & uncle. What a great trip!!!

With January came a whirlwind of activity, especially with work. I love my job as it allows me so much flexibility and creativity. I have an amazing Board behind me that gives me so much freedom to "think outside the box" in order to grow and develop Sutter Yuba Friday Night Live. The opportunities are endless when working in Youth Development and the more I'm into this the more passionate I become because I see what an impact myself and my staff can have on so many of the youth in our communities who have not had the same encouragement and upbringing that many of us had the privilege of having. When you take them under your wing and love them and instill hope and passion in them they're entire demeanor changes. Many don't believe their lives can be any different--but with direction and encouragement they begin to see a light at the end of the tunnel. Craig and I just spent the night in Los Gatos and went to see Celine Dion in concert. Can I just say she is AMAZING!!! What a voice, what a stage presence and what a show she puts on! If you have the opportunity to see Celine I would encourage you to do so. You won't regret it. I think the best part was the end when the stage became black and you think the show is over, then suddenly on the big screens you begin to see scenes from Titanic with her voice in the background humming the theme song. Then she comes up from the stage floor singing. WOW! We tried to videotape it on Craig's phone, but 30 seconds just doesn't capture it.

I'll try to keep this updated more often...don't know if anyone reads it, but I like to think someone out there does!!! By the way, Craig and I will be celebrating our 33rd anniversary March 6th. We just celebrated early seeing Celine together!
